Privacy & Transparency Policy
YadavNews.in is an independent, reader-supported bilingual archive of Yadav biographies, history and verified news. This page explains, in plain language, what data we handle, how we protect it, and — just as importantly — how we are transparent about our editorial work and how you can reach us to ask a question, report an error, or exercise your data rights.

1. Who we are & data controller
YadavNews.in is operated independently by Abhimanyu (Founder & Editor-in-Chief). For the purposes of privacy law, YadavNews.in is the data controller for the information described on this page. We are a small, non-partisan editorial project — we do not run user accounts, forums, or e-commerce, and we do not sell personal data to anyone.
2. Information we collect
We keep collection to the minimum needed to run a fast, secure, and improving website:
- Usage & analytics data — anonymised, aggregate information such as pages visited, approximate country, device/browser type, and referring site. This helps us understand what content is useful and where the site needs work.
- Cookies & similar technologies — set by us and by trusted third parties (for example, Google Analytics and Google AdSense) to measure traffic and serve relevant advertising.
- Information you send us — if you email our editorial desk to report an error, request a correction, or ask a question, we collect the content of your message and your email address so we can respond.
We do not ask for, and do not need, sensitive personal information (such as government ID, financial account details, or health data) to read this site.
3. How we use information
- To operate, maintain and improve the website and its performance.
- To understand which biographies, history and news topics readers value, so we can research and fact-check more of them.
- To respond to corrections, enquiries and data requests you send us.
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse or spam.
- To measure and serve advertising that keeps the archive free to read.
6. Data retention
Aggregate analytics data is retained for as long as it helps us improve the site. Emails you send us (corrections, enquiries, requests) are kept only as long as needed to handle them and to keep a record of editorial decisions, after which they are deleted. You can ask us to delete any correspondence at any time via the contact details below.
7. Your rights & data requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data — including the right to access it, have it corrected, request its deletion, or object to certain processing. YadavNews.in honours these requests regardless of jurisdiction. Our practices are aligned with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP), and we also respect the principles of the GDPR (EU/EEA/UK) and CCPA/CPRA (California).
Because we collect very little personal data, most requests are simple to fulfil. To make a data request, email [email protected] with the subject "Data request". We aim to respond within 30 days.
8. How we protect data
YadavNews.in is served entirely over HTTPS with encryption in transit. The site is a static archive with no user-login database, which means there is no password store to breach. We use reputable hosting and apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we work to keep your information protected.
9. Children's privacy
YadavNews.in is a general-reference site and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
10. Editorial transparency & accountability
Transparency is part of how we earn trust. We commit to the following:
- Named authorship. Every biography is written and fact-checked under the oversight of a named editor — Abhimanyu — whose credentials you can review.
- Source citation. Facts are grounded in official registries, reputable journalism, and primary archives wherever available, and we link to them.
- Living-persons care. Profiles of living individuals are handled with strict attention to privacy, dignity and legal accuracy.
- Estimated figures labelled. Net-worth and financial estimates are marked as estimates and timestamped.
- Open corrections. We welcome corrections and document how we handle them (see below and our corrections policy).
- No pay-for-placement. Listings and profiles are editorially independent; we do not accept payment to add, change, or remove coverage.
Read our full standards on the Editorial Policy page.
11. Report an error
Accuracy matters. If you spot a factual error, an outdated figure, a misidentified person, or a missing source on any page, please tell us — we review and correct verified reports promptly.
- Note the exact page (copy its URL from your browser).
- Describe what appears to be wrong and, if you can, link a reliable source that supports the correction.
- Email it to our editorial desk using the button below.
Prefer a form? Use our Contact page. Full details are in the Corrections Policy.
